Synopsis: This print advert is one of a number that Herman Miller released in 1955 to coincide with a new edition of their catalog. The series followed the same design in showcasing several products on one page. Whilst on first glance the ad may appear simplistic, it was actually designed to mimic editorial journal content, thus creating the feeling of it belonging to the publication it was found in. This ad featured the new Eames DSS stacking chairs, which went on to be the highest yielding Eames design, the wire DKX and a design or two from George Nelson. At the bottom of the page is the Herman Miller logo, a list of showroom locations and an image of the new catalog.
