Product Description

This is a used, vibrant, brilliant Lemon Yellow DSW Dining Side Chair, complete with beautiful black dowel base to create this iconic Herman Miller Eames chair. The brilliant yellow fiberglass shell is unique in its vivid colour, a perfect dining chair if you want to add a splash of colour and fun to your dining room.

The Eames shell series chairs really don’t need any introduction. With early prototypes beginning in the late 1940's, production began on the Eames' dream of 'chairs for the masses' in 1950 with the arm and then the sides later in 1952/53. The original and vintage fiberglass chairs were so versatile and so modern that they only increase in popularity as the years go by.

Fiberglass originals always have a base colour and gorgeous 'visible' fibers in the shell itself. Upholstered versions were introduced by Herman Miller a little later on using fabrics and textiles designed by the esteemed designer Alexander Girard.

Individual Characteristics

This vintage brilliant yellow DSW dining chair remains in excellent condition despite its age, as with many vintage products. The newer, replacement Herman Miller DSW bases are in good used condition. There are minor signs of age around the edges, but the colour remains fabulously vibrant-further images are available upon request.

The 'C' with the star indicates this was produced at Herman Miller's Cincinnati factory and the colour suggests it was produced between 1959-1967.
