Product Description

A pair of black original Herman Miller Eames Soft Pad EA408S Aluminium Desk Chairs in great vintage condition make the perfect task chairs with swivel ability! With their 4-star glide base, it allows for a comfortable sitting position, with no fear of the legs getting in the way, and with the soft pad, they are perfect!

The Eames desk chair has stood as one of the most popular office chairs for nearly 60+ years and it is easy to see why! Literally an updated version of the original ‘ribbed’ version of the desk chair, the ‘soft pad’ version comes with the added cushions applied to the chair creating a more comfortable chair.

The Aluminium range from the Eames Office were a truly impactful design. Versions of the chairs are still used in many offices across the globe and the lounge style chair proves to be just as popular. With the introduction of the ‘Soft Pad’ series a good few years after the first Aluminium chairs were produced, the range has seen a steady dominance within the office based furniture division.

Individual Characteristics

The overall condition of the chairs is good for their age. The cushions are still well plumped and the leather only shows the natural signs of age and wear around the edges as is common with these chairs.

The black Herman Miller label on the underside of the chairs indicate they were produced between 1970 and 1984.
