Synopsis: Whilst this catalog just pre-dates the Herman Miller re-releases of iconic classics in the ‘for the home’ launch, it is still packed full of some of the best Eames designs that enjoyed continued production since their respective introductions. The brochure year is also significant in that it is the final year in which Fiberglass based molded Eames side and arm chairs would be available (until the polypropylene versions released in 2001). The layout and structure of the catalog is very reminiscent of the way they are released still to this day (2020’s) with intro image, technical dimensions, finish and upholstery all provided in the one page.
