An iconic piece of mid-century modern design, this ottoman features a beautifully shaped rosewood wooden shell, sculptural metal base in black with upper edges exposed silver colour and deep brown leather upholstery. The leather has developed a wonderfully aged patina, with distinctive creasing and surface wear that reflect its history and give the piece an authentic vintage character.
The underside label and metal base marking, read 670C, make this an interesting example for collectors and admirers of classic Eames design.
Condition
Vintage condition, with wear to the original-looking brown leather, including creasing, surface patina and one missing button. The leather is not extensively cracked or split except where shown in the photos. The wooden shell and metal base show signs of age and use.
