Product Description

A beautiful, authentic 3rd Generation Eames Lounge Chair (670) and Ottoman (671) manufactured by Herman Miller between 1971 and 1974. This set has been in my family since new, originally purchased by my grandfather, and remains in honest, unrestored vintage condition

Key Features & Authenticity

Veneer: Stunning Brazilian Rosewood shells with a deep, high-contrast grain (discontinued in 1990).
Label: Features the original black rectangular Herman Miller label.
Hardware: Correct two-screw armrest configuration for the early 70s era.
Condition: The shells are in excellent structural shape with no cracks to the plywood.
Shock Mounts: Original rubber shock mounts are firm and secure; the chair is solid and safe to sit in.
Leather: Original black leather upholstery. It shows a genuine vintage patina with some "lumps and bumps" consistent with 50+ years of careful family use—no major rips or tears.

Provenance

This is a single-family-owned piece. It has been well-cared for in a smoke-free home and has never been "parts-swapped" or tampered with. It is a rare opportunity to own a structurally sound, 100% original Rosewood set.
