This is an early example, likely pre-1985, as indicated by its original four-prong aluminum base, which predates the later five-star configuration and is sought-after by collectors.
The chair has been professionally restored with care to preserve its vintage character. The aluminum base and frame show light marks and wear consistent with decades of use, contributing to a desirable original patina rather than a “too new” refinished look. The tilt mechanism and swivel operate smoothly.
It has been newly reupholstered in a black, medium-weight, natural full-grain semi-aniline leather with a soft sheen. The leather has a supple, buttery hand and an elegant, consistent pebble grain, giving the chair a luxurious feel while remaining true to the original design intent.
