Product Description

A very resplendent colour; these deep red, original, Eames for Herman Miller DSW dining side shell chairs sit on complimentary newer, used, walnut dowel bases. The colour combination makes these DSW’s very desirable pieces waiting to adorn your chosen space with their presence.

The DSW has become easily one of the most recognisable and one of the most desirable versions of the iconic Eames fiberglass series and it is easy to see why. With the beautiful blend of wood and metal; no matter which combination of wood it is finished in, there is always a version that works effortlessly with both the colour of the shell and the décor of the area it is being placed into.

Individual Characteristics

The shells are in great vintage condition. The colour is gorgeous though there are natural signs of wear consistent with age and some interesting patina finish through aging present meaning these shells have a very unique character they are waiting to bring to your chosen location! The shells are slightly lighter than appear in the listing photographs so further images are available upon request.

The newer, used, walnut DSW bases are in good condition too with some minor signs of use around the bottom of the legs.

The ‘S’ inside the circle on the underside of the shells indicate they originate from Herman Miller’s Summit Plastics factory.
