Synopsis: During the 1970’s, one of Herman Miller’s marketing strategies was to host ‘open houses’ usually to signify a sales drive or launch of a new product. These were accompanied by posters and or invitations to regular patrons or those appearing on the mailing lists. This specific open house invitation was to coincide with the new address of the Herman Miller showroom in San Francisco. These marketing tools were to create footfall within the retail showroom and to bring new and exciting products to an already interested client base.
