We purchased this pair of LCW chairs in the mid-1990s. They are among the earliest available following the model’s 1994 relaunch, and at that time the LCW also was first offered in a painted finish (1994-2010).
Our chairs maintain their structural integrity and original red paint, with some cosmetic touch-ups during the past 30 years of our ownership, primarily on the seat top surface and back rest. The black rubber cushions are original and offer secure support. Back rest cushions on one chair re-secured ~20 yrs ago. All hardware is original. Oval authentication badges with the “Herman Miller” name and logo, and “Eames” in script are located under each seat.
