- Since it's the original 46 year old leather, it has some small cracks (shown). The leather is stil sturdy enough for a big heavy sit after a long day of work. *Chair is NOT kept in direct sunlight, just moved it over for the pictures.
- The old growth Brazilian Rosewood shells are in beautiful condition, and absolutely glow. For the sake of the amazon rainforest, they stopped using this wood in 1981. Since this chair is from 1979, it's one of the last production runs in the 'original' rosewood as far as I understand. The only defect in the wood shells is a quarter sized bubble in the veneer on the underside of the ottonman, next to the tag. Couldn't get a good photo of it as it's very hard to see.
- The rubber seals have been replaced, and are the only non original parts. They were already replaced when I purchased it form Retro Inferno in KC, MO around 2017. New seals was a must for me when I was looking, as they are expensive to replace and ofc totally destroy the chair when they fail. As is, the chair feels great leaning all the way back.
