We chose not to restore when we decided to sell, as there are several methods, but all leaving the new owner with something to unwind if they want to restore by professionals. In other words- there is no wax build up or other substances - it's not perfect or restored condition, but we believe it likely all original. There are no cracks, no significant gouging, and no chips on the rims. There is discoloration, and aging on the seat.
