Login to ask a questionInherited from our grandparents, this is an early version of the iconic Eames moulded plywood ebony (black) coffee table with trivalent chrome base.
The lightweight, compact and versatile table is an eloquent example of the spirit of early Eames design. A round, slightly indented top creates a lean profile that forms a strikingly simple centrepiece in any residential or commercial space. The table can be complemented, and was originally bought with two classic Eames moulded plywood ebony lounge chairs (see https://eames.com/en/listing/2722 and https://eames.com/en/listing/2721). Discount can be offered when bought as a 3-piece set.
We have used this table in our living for 20+ years, but it is honestly still in really good condition. The table top has been varnished once and has some minor, superficial scratches but no stains or marks and it still has its vivid, ebony shine. There are no marks and no corrosion on the legs; they are still in perfect condition, with the original round disk feet and black rubber collars.
