A softer finish to the traditional Seafoam colour, this gentle colour works in any interior style and perfectly represents just how versatile these iconic chairs are!
A colour that was initially used as a contract colour only – minimum orders of 150 chairs – this version of the coveted seafoam colour soon became commercially available at the same time and outlasting the more well known, deeper, colour that was one of the first six colours made available when the shell chair was first introduced.
Individual Characteristics
There are clear signs of general use around the shells sides with the faded colour however that aids with their history. There are signs of dirt that has been ingrained into the fiberglass so a professional clean is advised.
Please note, the shells are in the wide mount position as opposed to the narrow mount as shown in the images.
The shells are adorned with the ‘C’ with the 5-pointed star logo on the underside which indicates they were produced in Herman Miller’s Cincinnati Milicron factory between 1965 and 1978.
