Login to ask a questionThese four chairs $1495 each have a little bit of history to them.I knew Charles Eames when I was an architect in the early 60,s.I had contact with him in late college days, I had to pick up Frank Lloyd Wright from the St Louis airport. And take him to a lecture at the U of Illinois..I called Charles to ask him to join Wright on the lecture platform, He said he would love to but he had other commitments. Later in 1962, I asked Charles to guide me on buying his Aluminum group chairs.He advised me to not buy the leather as if I use them in a waiting room the amount of traffic they receive will show wear in the leather long before the ribbed fabric would. He was right as they have lasted beautifully.
ALL CHAIRS HAVE THE CAST METAL PATENT DATES ON THE UNDERSIDE ON ALL FOUR CHAIRS.
They are in excellent condition and only have minor scuff marks on their feet I cherish these chairs because of their history.
