Product Description

For your consideration is an icon of mid century modern design — an original Eames dowel base zenith plastics dining chair in greige.

This is a rare and fine example of a 1st generation chair with a fiberglass shell produced by Zenith with a rope edge and large shock mounts, shells that were only produced for a few years during the earliest years of production of these iconic chairs. The chair dates to approximately 1950.

There are no chips or cracks in the fiberglass shell. The wood does show some patina. This is a fine vintage example of one of the most popular designs by Ray and Charles Eames.
