First of all, we’d like to thank you for visiting our website, and we’re happy you’ve found your way over to the blogs, especially as this is our first post of many!
Well, on our newly revamped website, we will be regularly posting interesting blogs involving a number of different topics - from the latest Eames furniture for your space to our classic favorite designs. There will also be blogs about events we will be attending and much more!
We could of course follow in the foot-steps of some quite brilliant reference books and write all about the history that comes with Charles and Ray Eames, their lives and the things they have designed, both famous and infamous. But our purpose, our focus, is on the very things we love most; the products, the designs and the details, those that we actually really want (and ought) to know!
Our community has put together a true lifetime’s amount of knowledge and experience into producing a wiki guide of every design that ever hit the marketplace in the life time of Charles and Ray including product generations, years, colors, fabrics and all from the perspective of buyer and seller.
We want your experience on our website to be beneficial and easy. We will make tailored recommendations on what we think you will like, based on what you’ve searched for. We will provide information on what we feel will be relevant to you. We won’t just throw any information at you. We ask questions such as, “What do we need to know about this product?”, “What is the value?”, “Do we need to know this particular bit of information when buying furniture?”. This way, you are guided with the right answers when buying or selling.
Our aim is to take in all of the jargon and to simplify it for you while ensuring that the information is still clear and relevant.
We’ve taken the visual element of Eames and created a variety of social media pages where you can see pictures of the variety of pieces in the Eames.com marketplace. Join us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest and see for yourself.
Not only that, but we will have projects in place, where we will begin uploading regular videos of the products that sellers will put up for sale. Here at Eames.com, we just felt that pictures are great for giving our users the initial feel of the pieces. But videos give you an idea of the quality, edge and authenticity.
Having said that, we know a huge amount of our followers enjoy reading blogs, articles and transcripts about all things Eames. Whichever it is, we have it all covered!
We hope you enjoyed our first blog post, and that you now have a clearer understanding of what we do and what our goals are. Until next time, have fun browsing!
