As newer examples, these chairs sport a rather interesting gunmetal black finish which pops off the bright silver of the steel base these chairs are famed for.
The plywood series is one of the defining design series from the famous couple. The wide array of furniture catered for the home environment perfectly and sparked the desire to produce and provide versatile furniture which eventually led to adaptive pieces such as the fiberglass series which could be used in both the home and the office too.
Individual Characteristics
These particular examples will require a little bit of love and care due to being used and enjoyed well. The colour is a rather unique finish which has aged similarly and the wood does display signs of the extensive use.
The label on the underside indicates these are newer examples produced by Herman Miller.
