A simply gorgeous example of a rich tan leather on wonderfully golden walnut makes this all original Eames Herman Miller lounge chair and ottoman extra special. A rarer finish to find, especially with the sumptuousness of the wood and, though well used, this lounge chair and ottoman set still has a lot to give!
The 70s started to see an influx of colour being injected into a wide range of items and the Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and ottoman was not going to miss out on this opportunity. From this point the chair and ottoman was offered in a wide range of colours and this gorgeous tan was amongst them, extending the range and feel of the luxury set.
Individual Characteristics
There is no denying this set has had a life and it has signs to show it. The leather does display some minor nicks and marks, but this adds to the character this set has to give, whilst the wood has similar elements of aged wear to it.
The ottoman too is in a used but good aged condition.
The sticker on the underside of the chair has unfortunately come away over time, but the outline of the rectangular label indicates this chair and ottoman set was produced from 1970-2008.
