Sat upon its lighter ash wood RAR base, this rejuvenated arm shell would make a fantastic addition to any home or chosen space.
Upholstered versions of the iconic Eames shells were designed with the assistance of the famous Alexander Girard who headed Herman Miller’s design department. He used a variety of fabrics and a wide range of colours to create an extremely diverse collection and versatile upholstered version of the shells that, much like the standard fibreglass shells, could be used in almost any environment imagined.
Individual Characteristics
The highly fibrous white shell is in good used condition, though it does display a small dint on the underside of it, further pictures can be provided. The purple upholstered fabric is in fantastic condition, with no lifting. The rocking RAR base is in excellent condition and still functions perfectly.
The ‘C’ with the star logo indicates this is shell originates from Herman Miller’s Cincinnati factory.
