This is an original vintage and super rare 16mm reel of the Charles Eames Film production entitled Atlas: A Sketch Of the Rise & Fall Of the Roman Empire, made in 1976.
The film depicts the rise and fall of the Roman empire by way of a sketch map, growing and shrinking in order to depict the empire as it moved through the ages. Its first showing was accompanied by a live narration by Charles along with.
What makes this short film even more remarkable is that is was never released into general circulation and therefore is a very rare collectors find.
Both the outer original metal container, and more importantly the film, are in perfect order and the film is fully workable and viewable.
