This original, rare and vintage 16mm Charles Eames film is entitled A Communications Primer, from 1953.
With inspiration from a 40s book on Mathematical theory, Charles wanted the film to demonstrate the use of communication tools to aid the architectural and educational disciplines and this was largely successful.
The film was widely and greatly received and has played a part in educational sources and was known as it combined both live action with animation and photo stills. It was also the first film the Eames Office used outside help in order to complete. Runs at over 22 minutes.
The original vintage film reel once belonged to Michigan State University showing its active use in educational methods. The condition of both film and container are excellent throughout.
